What to Bring

Rent a camera and/or laptop (limited quantities)

IMPORTANT INFO:

Computer must have USB ports. Adapters can be purchased at a local electronics store. Internet connection is also recommended.

You will need either a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. If you have any questions about what your camera is, please do not hesitate to contact tracy@camppixelproject.com


Scholarships:

It is our intention that no camper feel prohibited from signing up due to a lack of equipment or funds. For this reason, we have computers and cameras available to either rent or borrow, depending on your unique financial situation. Scholarships may also be available for certain weeks for campers whose financial situation prohibits them from otherwise attending. Please contact Tracy to inquire.

Bring a snack or lunch and water each day!

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR CLASS:

PHOTOGRAPHY: 

The very first lesson given in the photography class is how to hold and handle a camera properly and how to keep it safe.

  • You will either need a DSLR camera, or a Mirrorless camera. If you have any questions about what your camera is, please do not hesitate to contact tracy@camppixelproject.com.

  • If you do not own a DSLR or Mirrorless, you have some options. If photography is something you/your child wants to pursue and you want to purchase a camera, Tracy can help you decide on an inexpensive DSLR starter camera. We also have a small selection available for rent. Please contact tracy@camppixelproject.com for additional information.

  • Accessories to camera such as padded camera bag, strap, memory card, charged battery, tripod (optional-if you have one) etc.

GRAPHIC DESIGN:

  • PC or MAC laptop (Mac or PC), must have wi-fi connection, and a USB port OR an iPad, Chromebook, or other type of tablet. A limited number of laptops and iPads are available to rent.

    A free or pro Canva account is required for camp. More information will be sent after registration.

  • Mouse and mouse pad (Optional)

  • The computer must have a USB port or the camper must have a compatible adapter.

  • The computer and iPad must have internet access available

To keep your equipment safe, we ask that parents do the following:

  • Please put labels with your child’s name on everything possible

  • Inventory the equipment your child is using in the class at drop off and again before your child leaves for the day.
