If you have an interest in learning more about photography, this introductory photography class will teach you how to get off of the "auto" mode and learn to shoot in "manual!"

Why shoot in manual? Your camera does not know if you want a blurred or focused background.  Nor does it know if you want a photograph to be brighter or darker.  It doesn't know a lot of things!  By learning to shoot in "manual" mode, you will learn to have complete control of your camera settings to achieve the look(s) you want for your images!

This class is for beginning photography enthusiasts. Tracy Robinson, owner of spryART photography, co-owner of Mod Mavens + Co, and co-owner of Camp Pixel Project, will take you step by step through the most important settings on your camera.

What makes this class different from other photography classes is it uses hands-on exercises and excursions and optional weekly assignments to reinforce learning.  Tracy teaches one topic at a time so no one leaves overwhelmed, and everyone has plenty of time to practice new skills in between classes.

  • The Exposure Triangle- Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Basic Lighting

  • Maximizing your camera's potential

Make your photos come alive! You finally know how to shoot in manual mode, you have the perfect composition, the outdoor lighting is amazing but your image just doesn't pop. If you answered no to any of these questions then these classes are for you.

These workshops are great for the beginner photo editor taught by Jennifer West Pickard, graphic designer, owner of Jennifer West Pickard Design Studio, The Silly Nilly Studio, co-owner of Mod Mavens + Co, and co-owner of Camp Pixel Project.

Each class is an add-on to the photography session or can be taken à La Carte. If needed, computers are available to rent. These are hands-on workshops with detailed take home class notes.
